Having studied Sculpture, Drawing and Printmaking at Art School Ruth has worked in Film ,Theatre, Museums and in the Education  Sector for over 30 years. She was fortunate to study at a time when art students were taught traditional and transferrable skills which enabled her to work within a wide range of creative industries including: Hand Made Films, Spitting Image and on many productions for Theatre and Opera and Museums.

Ruth currently has Sculpture in National Trust properties , she has a particular love of history and heritage which is often embedded in her practice.Ruth has passion to share the love of creativity and teaches adult drawing classes in her home studio in Surrey.

Ruth believes everyone is able to create and is driven to support others to develop confidence in their creative self.

She develops bespoke workshops for families, community groups, adults and children. She has an extensive background collaborating with Galleries and Museums to engage with Museum and Heritage collections. Ruth currently works as a freelance artist/educator she  is continually inspired by the people she meets and works with which informs her on going art practice. 

Ruth lives in South West Surrey ,when not working Ruth sails, walks and cycles in the South Downs, a sketch book always to hand.
